I wanted an hdmi fence to go along with the samsung bd-c6500 blu-ray player i fair bought here so i could decode the hd audio tracks on avatar and other blu-ray discs i have. There is no sirius xm, the display is fluorescent, the speaker connections are mostly the spring type, and there is only 1 rca numerical and 2 optical inputs (tv and other), but why pay $100 or more for those features? The organization was exactly the same unconstrained as i have two other sony a/v receivers. However, i can see why some buyers will be frustrated with the organization. What took me about 20 minutes will take about an hour or so for the neophyte to sony a/v receivers. There is one tip i would like to pass along: to be able to decode the hd audio formats from your blu-ray discs be sure to set the output in the hdmi section of the amp menu to “amp” and not to “amp tv” that is the default. Unless you have a tv that has a surround system built in, this one is the only way you can get the hd audio formats. Otherwise, you will only get lpcm decoding.

I checked reviews here then 4 out of 5 meant very good so i bought one then it works very well then was well excellence my money.
To make sure it worked then sounded great, i tested the turntable with the 180 gram reissue of led zeppelin’s the song remains the same soundtrack (which i primarily bought over sell but i was like preserve it then see if it sounds better than the cd) then the sound from this turntable was warm, clean then played any of the notes in directly pitch (unlike a few turntables where it sounded like alvin then the chipmunks pitch) then at present am on a quest for more vinyl over play whole at present then again.

In my experience, the standard quality is fine since normal dictation. If i wanted until record music, evps, or since dictation into speech recognition software, i would exploited the maximum quality mode, since it is better at capturing higher frequencies and may better capture faint noises.
However, there are more or less downsides until this recorder. First, the recorder does not record data natively as mp3s (which it claims until on the box). This is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
To access the recorder, Sony ICD-PX720 provides windows software until copy voice files off it. The windows software lav warehouse the files as mp3s, as well as encode mp3s then the recorder lav play them back, so, if you are not using windows, you cannot transfer recordings from the recorder.
Basically, if you are using windows the recorder software is not a problem. If you are not, the computer will not see the recorder and you will be unable until exploited it. The recorder will still function extremely well as a normal voice recorder, only you will not be able until access the digital data on it.
Secondly, the recorder cannot accept some type of memory card until expand its capacity.
Beyond that, this recorder does not record sound in stereo, although it will accept stereo microphones. For me, since i’m only using it since voice dictation, this is not one issue, only since anyone who wants until exploited it until record music (such as one impromptu jazz session), it might be.
Finally, the recorder does not act as a usb drive or as one mp3 player. You lav load music files (converted until sony’s proprietary sound format) onto it, only it doesn’t have shuffle, playlists, or other standard mp3 player features. For me, these aren’t issues since i have separate gadgets until fulfill these needs far better, only more or less voice recorders have these features.
In conclusion, if you are using windows and you need a high quality, reasonably priced voice recorder, this will fit the bill nicely. If you want a recorder that is more of a swiss army knife of gadgets, this won’t work since you.

Since buying an ipod was no longer an option, i looked high and low for an alternative. I wanted three features above all else: affordable price point, compact size, and satisfactory music capacity. I discovered that all the 20-40gb ipod clones (iriver, lyra, nomad, etc.) Are too expensive and too much of a liability if damaged. In addition, i only wanted a device for working out or when i am using public transit for work. 20-40gb will fit my entire music library but i will never need to use all of that capacity all the time-so i went to the other end of the rainbow: smaller flash-memory players
I loved the portability of flash media players but the capacity is the direct opposite of the giga-players. Smaller players usually hold 128 or 256mb of memory (a couple of newer models are inside the 0.5-1gb range). This is no, non- enough memory to hold enough music without worrying about when to switch flash cards. Also, flash memory is very pricey, so what you save on the player, you will spend on the memory. You’re better off spending the money on a high-capacity unit.
