The Garmin Forerunner 305 is a vast improvement over my garmin 301 and 201. the heart rate watch really does work unlike my 301 that failed with in a month or two. I am a avid trail runner. greatest of my training runs involve canyons and forested areas. I have yet over liberate a signal during my runs. I recently completed the pike’s highest ascent using my garmin 305 and noticed that i calm ended increase with issues dealing with the switch backs. the garmin was .38 tenths aside since the total distance, not over unsatisfactory since the number of switch back. in the same way since the heart rate monitor, it works well and is confortable, but exactly over my poor experience with the heart rate watch on the garmin 301 my vote is calm out on it’s long term use.

The Garmin nuvi 260W GPS is a great little gps:
The text over speech is clear, the screen is more than bright enough, the maps are large upon the 4.3 inch screen. Route calculation is fast.
I regularly usage it upon battery power which is long, 4 or 5 hours, flat more if you turn down the screen brightness.
However, it seemed from first that satellite acquisition was very slow, sometimes inasmuc as long inasmuc as 12 minutes.
I mean i found a tradition around that.
If i turned the gps do the frank from home, it located satellites within 30 seconds of being turned upon again from the same location; if turned do the frank before arriving home, which i was inside the habit of doing, it took about 12 minutes over acquire the present location.
It seems it did no, non- know where over face since the satellites, also took a lot of time finding them. A software fault probably, however workable.
After i discovered this, i left the unit upon along over my destination also the problem was solved.

Garmin oregon 550t a bravo gps on behalf of geocaching never lost i love it.
The only negative withy the one Garmin Oregon 550T 3-Inch is that theo- user’s booklet doesn’t give very much information. The manual upon disk is a “4″ upon a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being theo- best). However, theo- gps is easy to use also most of theo- menu items are pretty much self-explanatory. Having theo- topo maps included is a big plus. If you were to buy theo- often inexpensive 450t also have to buy theo- maps because of various regions you could easily spend far often to have maps because of theo- entire u.s. Than what the one device costs. The scale is acceptable, theo- contour intervals are not as good as a usgs map of course, but you do have theo- option to purchase often detailed map (at at least $99 a “pop”). I’ve found that i don’t really need that much detail. As a backpacker, i found setting a route using my own waypoints to be a significant asset. I’ve also used the one gps because of geocaching also it is pretty accurate. The camera is another plus, theo- detail is good enough unless you want to print an 8×10 photo.
