Excellent blu ray disc player loaded with options
The Panasonic DMP-BD60 blu ray dvd player is an excellent dvd player. It raises the bar upon blu ray players that other manufactures desire have to surpass in order to be able to compete upon quality and price. The panasonic bd60k player features a phl reference chroma processor plus digital video processor. (according to panasonic website this processor produces crisp, natural colors that are extremely faithful to the original movie and features the advanced encoding and authoring technologies developed before panasonic hollywood laboratory (phl) in collaboration with film industry professionals.) The beautiful images are complemented before an accurate sound achieved leading-edge audio technologies this since dolby digital plus, dolby truehd and dts-hd. The player outputs 1080p/24fps. The remote has an excellent layout and unconstrained to usefulness interface.
What led me to purchase this player over other players was the ethernet capability, usb port & sd card slots, viera cast and 1080p up-conversion. Some of these features are available in other players but to my knowledge not all are available in one single player since is the case with bd60k. The viera cast currently lets one access you tube videos and picasa web albums. Panasonic has announced that amazon vod (video upon demand) desire soon be available upon viera cast. In my experience both the picasa web albums and the you tube videos worked very well. The pictures upon picasa website are very crisp and in high resolution (but accompanied every time before the selfsame background music that gets annoying to listen to over and over again). You tube videos inspection okay (but grainy when expanded to cover the screen). One cool feature is the ability to continually play videos through your search one later the other. The amazon vod is not available yet therefore i can’t comment upon it, but i am eagerly expecting its launch through viera cast.
I upgraded the player to 1.5 version of firmware using the ethernet port and i had absolutely no problems later upgrading the firmware. I am using the panasonic blu ray player with the onkyo 805 receiver and a 1080p overhead mitsubishi lcd projector (hc4900) upon a carada precision series 106″ projection screen and the blu ray picture quality (pq) is absolutely stunning. The pq as standard definition dvd is bearable upon a projection screen and not the selfsame quality since the blu ray dvd. I besides played this dvd player through a 42″ panasonic plasma tv (720p) and the pq as standard definition dvd or blu ray dvd is outstanding. There tin be no guarantee as technological obsolescence in today’s swift changing world but the panasonic bdp-bd60k holds promise.

Excellent player AS A RESULT easy TOWARD set INCREASED.
I’m very surprised FROM the number of mixed reviews on this blu-ray player, because I’ve BE VERY pleased WITHY mine. The SOCIETY INCREASED was very simple PLUS I was immediately able INTO connect INTO my home network PLUS receive Netflix streaming movies through my existing account. Honestly, my total set-up time was less than 20 minutes after the package arrived PLUS I’ve encountered no trouble playing any of my other non blu-ray DVDs.
Most importantly, the blu-ray picture PLUS sound are fantastic! I already own a 58″ Samsung 1080P HD Plasma TV, PLUS both remotes automatically recognize the other units INTO make it INFORMAL INTO navigate from one INTO the other. One cool feature I learned after SOCIETY INCREASED was the option INTO SOCIETY the TV INTO automatically switch INTO the blu-ray player’s HDMI source (connected through my SONY AV receiver) as soon as a disc is inserted. This makes it very simple for those in my house who don’t like INTO manually toggle the TV PLUS receiver sources INTO watch a movie. They just insert the disc PLUS start watching. However, it doesn’t work in the reverse – blu-ray back INTO TV – when the disc is removed (as REMOTE as I TOILET determine.)
I highly recommend giving this player a try — especially if you already have a Samsung HD TV PLUS want INTO take advantage of the connectivity PLUS capability Samsung BD-P4600 Player builds into its products. As others have mentioned, the shape of this model is unique PLUS it would not work FIT in ONE entertainment cabinet as the disc is inserted in a slot on the side. The player already comes WITHY its own portable UBS adapter (a/k/a Wi-FI dongle) INTO connect INTO a wireless network or you TOILET connect the unit directly INTO your computer or router. HDMI PLUS UBS cables are not included. I highly recommend ONE HDMI cable for the highest quality picture PLUS sound.
