Best portable CD for the money

This is definitely the best cd player I bought. I had a Bose PM-1 and a Bose TRI level cd player and they skipped ” a lot”! Notwithstanding, the battery life was worth 2-3 days of playing about an hour each day. This Sony cd player has 3 solid bar indicators and I have yet to see Sony D-SJ301 any less. Even though, I’ve used it full blast with full bass for 3-4 days before I changed the rechargeable batteries. I run with this player and it has “NEVER” skipped! That’s one of the biggest plus of this player. The sound is very good and it has a 3 level bass boost button. The buttons are located on the player so that it is almost impossible to turn it off or go to another track by accident. The only draw back is the amber yellow window for display functions. It can be hard to view with direct sunlight or at night. But apart from that. This is the one you should get if you want performance and less wastage on spending money on batteries.I bought this CD player about 4 years ago or more. Got to college, gave it to my girlfriend who dumped me after one semester. Really regret it. I bought the newer version and I hate it. I’m buying the older version again. I had the one with the radio built in though, works excellent. I cannot make this CD player skip at all, I’ve tried. Very heavy duty, relatively water proof. Not concerned about jogging in the rain with it. It has a joystick where I would assume it is more vulnerable but no problems with mine. I’m a 21 year old college student who’s buying it again. Even if you don’t use the cd player it is a pretty cheap radio with pretty good reception that is comfortable to run or walk around with.
